Dr. Kirk Mahon has served as medical director of a Dallas-area hospital emergency department and a freestanding emergency room. He has lectured extensively, with research experience at Carolinas Medical Center's department of emergency medicine and North Texas Hospital for Children. Dr. Mahon also has been featured as a regular guest on Good Morning Texas, sharing information with viewers on emergency-related situations. While at Carolinas Medical Center, he received the Outstanding Resident Research Achievement Award. In his free time, Dr. Mahon enjoys studying the Spanish language and is an avid volunteer, contributing his time and expertise to such organizations as the Dallas Metropolitan Area YMCA, Dallas Life Foundation, Tsunami Medical Relief Mission and Dallas County Medical Reserve Corp. When not working or volunteering, he can be found instructing others in the sport of powered parachuting.
